ARServices is seeking a Strategic Communications Graphic Artist to work in the Fort Belvoir, VA area.
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Work with the RD Strategic Communications Lead, Front Office staff, and departments on capabilities of graphic design options for communicating information products for use in a presentation environment to a variety of stakeholders within DTRA RD, DoD, and the Federal Government.
- Provide assistance in the development of RD strategic messages, both internally and externally.
- Assist in development and review of strategic communication messages and briefs for RD stakeholder linking high-level vision to executable operational priorities.
- Provide support for the multimedia and electronic imagery requirements of the directorate.
- Generate presentations to create a visual depiction that conveys and/or supports the RD Director’s information or decision-making processes.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain graphics, charts, briefings, slide presentations, brochures, interactive multi-media production, and electronic presentations and enhance such with clipart, infographics, or other Contractor-developed graphical images.
- Develop graphic art for posters, programs, brochures, placemats, and other similar promotional materials for display in the DTRA RD workspace/functions/Newsletters.
- Implement quality control procedures and use methodologies to ensure timely completion of work.
- Upload and store all charts, graphic images, graphic masters, original artwork, presentations, and electronic briefings in the RD section in the identified DTRA RD location with appropriate archiving tags and meta-data for ease of searching and retrieval.
- Lead conceptual graphic discussions and approaches to provide tailored graphics and visual elements for use by DTRA RD.
- Produces and manipulates graphics and visuals for informative and instructional material, including formatting/editing/writing a variety of technical articles, reports, and/or manuals for a wide range of uses.
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Maintain and provide project status.
- Maintain flexible posture when responding to urgent taskings.
- Active/current Secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree; BA or BFA in Fine Art, Graphic Design, or similar Area.
- Seven (7) of more year’s total experience required
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
- Expert proficiency in the use of the following design programs:
- Adobe programs: Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Acrobat, Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro or equivalent software) and Adobe Animate (or equivalent software).
- Microsoft programs: Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- High Proficiency with MS Office experience (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Experience with SharePoint
- Must have attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be comfortable in a high visibility, fast-paced DoD environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience with DTRA and/or comparable Defense Agencies/Federal components.
- Experience working with senior DOD officials
- Experience with supporting senior stakeholders and client in high-profile roles and missions
