Position Overview:
The Medical Collector is responsible for collecting payments on delinquent medical accounts while maintaining professionalism. Key tasks include negotiating payment arrangements, resolving account disputes, skip tracing, and re-billing insurance companies. The role requires the ability to work independently, exceptional customer service, communication skills, and the assertiveness to meet goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform inbound and outbound calls to collect payments on self-pay accounts.

Assist patients, attorneys, and third parties with resolving accounts and disputes.

Maintain productivity and quality standards for account resolution.

Adhere to client guidelines and templates for communication.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.

1-2 years’ experience in call center/collections in healthcare.

Working knowledge of insurance verification and collections.

Ability to handle over 100 calls per day.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
