In the Development Director role, you will...

  • Create and lead a comprehensive development strategy to sustain and grow financial resources, including fundraising efforts, a development plan, and donor relations
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring consistent financial growth to sustain ART 180’s staff and programs now and in the future
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Director, Board of Trustees, and staff to implement a holistic fundraising plan that includes individual donors, foundations, corporate sponsorships, government agencies, special events, and earned income

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in fund development
  • Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships
  • Knowledge of grant writing and management processes
  • Experience in event planning and management
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Commitment to ethical fundraising  
  • Ability to establish clear expectations and continuously measure performance
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and present persuasively and effectively
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performing teams as well as set and achieve strategic objectives
  • Solid organizational skills, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Familiarity or openness to Community Centric Fundraising
  • Experience with donor databases and fundraising software (e.g., DonorPerfect, SalesForce, Raiser’s Edge)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace


Salary Benefits

  • Starting salary $80,000
