Job Description:

About The Position

As a People Services Business Partner, you will help deliver the company’s mission by supporting all employees. This role will have both administrative & strategic responsibilities. This work includes interacting with employees at all levels, implementing human resource policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. As the People Services Business Partner, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive People Services support across various functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, training, HRIS, employee relations, comp review/analysis, performance and change management. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage full-cycle onboarding process to include preparing offer letters, memos and processing new hires in HRIS system(s).
  • Help develop, facilitate and oversee new hire orientation &onboarding.
  • Manage employee offboarding process, including exit interviews, data collection, reporting, and employee termination process.
  • Track and maintain accurate employee records, including personnel, employee relations files and other human resource-related documentation through HRIS system(s).
  • Effectively collaborate with management and entity specific People Services teams to maximize performance by anticipating problems, advising of risks associated with current business practices and recommending improvements.
  • Responds to human resources related questions and issues from managers and employees (e.g., performance, discipline, termination, etc.) to ensure accurate and consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Apply decision making and risk management across all company projects and initiatives to ensure employee retention, engagement, and efficiency in operations.
  • Partner and support the Learning & Development Director on strategic initiatives that provide development opportunities for all ecosystem employees.
  • Effectively collaborate with Talent Acquisition Director to create and maintain job profiles and workforce planning objectives.
  • Monitor configuration and testing for HRIS HCM and Performance Enablement Modules. Participate in root-cause testing and quality assurance processes for HCM system updates, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Ensure data integrity within HRIS HCM modules. Accurately process team member changes in HCM including changes to position, hours, salary, cost center, company, reporting structure, etc.
  • Support team member initiatives i.e. wellness initiatives & open enrollment events.
  • Manage, respond to, and resolve assigned requests for support submitted through the Jira ticketing system and/or People Services email inbox.
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and company policies and procedures by keeping current laws and regulations related to general human resource practices and regulations related to licen sure and certification; implementing and monitoring human resource compliance; implementing action plans to improve performance and reduce instances of non- compliance; and directing management teams in ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records.
  • Independently conduct thorough employee relations investigations, meticulously gathering evidence and conducting interviews. Prepare comprehensive investigation summary reports, analyzing findings and providing clear and actionable recommendations to the People Services Director.
  • Escalate and involve senior management and/or legal regarding critical issues as appropriate.
  • Counsel, coach, and mediate issues or concerns with employees and/or supervisors to obtain a reasonable resolution.
  • Regular and punctual attendance required.

Additional Job Duties

  • Provide clear advice and guidance to managers on all employee relations issues to include application of law and to institutional policies and procedures.
  • As requested, collect, organize, interpret & run employee statical reports and verify data.
  • Analyze internal wage and salary reports & data to determine competitive compensation plan.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies, procedures, and programs to support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Help develop and create SOPs / playbooks with standardized approaches for use throughout the ecosystem to drive efficiency and ensure consistent practices.
  • Manage the implementation and administration of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
  • Support and guide internal efforts for inclusion & belonging.
  • Support with monthly & annual budget process.
  • Support recruitment functions to include, vetting applicant pool, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters/memos, and updating job descriptions per business need.
  • Support People Service functions and systems to include Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Wellness, and administration.
  • Partner with benefits & payroll on worker’s compensation, reasonable accommodations (ADA), leaves of absence (FMLA), paid time off (PTO), timekeeping, etc. to facilitate interactive processes.
  • Other projects and duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years various human resource functions.
  • Proven minimum three-year experience as a Human Resource Generalist
  • Strong knowledge in human resource best practices, labor laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with FMLA, ADA & WC processes and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, critical thinker, attention to detail, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, remaining adaptable and resilient.
  • Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Workday experience is a plus.

  • Physical demands: In the work environments described below, position requires utilizing a computer and telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, verbal and written conversation with others, lifting/carrying (up to 10 lbs).   • Work Environment: Work will be performed in an office environment and/ or at campus flex workspaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Some overnight travel may be necessary.
