We are seeking an experienced Art Framer to join our family oriented team who brings both skill and passion for the craft, as well as proficiency with Virtual Framer software.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Art Framer with a minimum of 2 years in the framing industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional framing techniques and experience in using a Framer software. This role involves designing custom frames, handling a variety of artworks, and ensuring the quality of finished projects. The ability to provide expert recommendations to clients and work efficiently in a team environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create custom frames for a variety of artworks, including paintings, photographs, prints, and textiles, using both traditional techniques and Virtual Framer software.
• Use Virtual Framer software to generate frame mockups, calculate pricing, and provide accurate visualizations for clients.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate frame styles, matting options, and glass types based on their preferences, artwork type, and budget.
• Measure and prepare artworks for framing, ensuring precision and care during all stages of the framing process.
• Operate framing equipment (e.g., mat cutters, glass cutters, joiners) and ensure safe and effective use.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and maintaining equipment.
• Communicate with the Sales Team to ensure their vision is realized and provide expert advice on framing solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Manage multiple framing projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient workflow.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of framing trends, materials, and Virtual Framer updates to provide clients with cutting-edge options.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in custom art framing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of framing, including cutting, assembly, and mounting.
• Strong knowledge of different frame styles, matting options, and glass types.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Ability to work with a variety of materials (e.g., canvas, paper, fabric, photographs).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to advise and educate clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A passion for art and an understanding of the importance of preserving and enhancing artworks.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of the latest framing trends, techniques, and materials.
• Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.
• Familiarity with additional framing software or tools.
• Knowledge of framing best practices for delicate or high-value artwork.
• Proficiency in using Framer software for creating frame mockups, calculations, and visualizations .
