Job Description:
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Studio Art Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education, a love for sharing both hands-on techniques and art history, and a nurturing teaching style that encourages creativity. You’ll be leading classes for children of all ages and may also teach occasional adult workshops.
Responsibilities:
* Teach studio art classes to elementary and secondary students in a small group setting (with potential to work with adults)
- Deliver lessons in our lesson library and create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with our values of process over product
- Introduce students to a variety of mediums and art history concepts
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Support studio setup and cleanup as needed
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years teaching art in a classroom or structured educational setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with children and making art accessible and fun
- Ceramics experience (especially hand building) is a plus
- Spanish speaking ability is a plus
- Experience teaching adults is a plus
Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience.
