Job overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced marine construction/carpentry lead laborer to serve as the head of an individual crew. As a marine construction worker, you must be strong, able bodied, and capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects. You will responsible for various tasks related to marine construction projects, including but not limited to dock construction, boat lift installation, seawalls and roof framing and must be able to keep track of the crew hours and the project milestones.
Individual must have previous marine construction knowledge and hands-on experience to be considered as an applicable candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform construction and repair work on marine structures such as docks, piers, and seawalls.
- Operate and maintain construction equipment and machinery.
- Conduct underwater inspections and repairs.
- Assist in the installation of pilings and other structural components.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Ensure the construction of the marine project is installed in accordance to the assigned plans.
- Ensure that all crew members clock in and out appropriately; Keep track of crew hours and guide crew for efficient timeline and installation standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in marine construction or carpentry.
- Proficiency in operating construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, and pile drivers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in challenging marine environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Drivers license and own transportation required.
