About the Role
Art of Catering has been Portland’s premier catering and events company for over 25 years. AOC is excited to hire an Operations Lead to add to our team!
The operations lead will ensure their team is organized, maintains a clean workspace, & operate efficiently to meet event deadlines. The role of the operations lead will include but is not limited to: Reading & interpreting event equipment pull list, packing and unpacking all equipment and supplies for offsite events, maintaining facility cleanliness, beverage prep including specialty syrups and garnishes. They will possess superior organizational and time management skills and be able to collaborate with a team.
The weekly organization of all equipment going to and from events is paramount to your success. Most days will be spent packing & unpacking equipment according to event checklists. The individual in this role must always maintain a high level of customer service & be able to effectively communicate & cooperate with team members in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Superior organization & time management skills are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Gathering all needed items for service including kitchen pull and beverage pull for events
- Assisting with loading out for events
- Production of needed specialty beverage syrups and garnishes
- Accurately counting in beverage consumption after events and putting it away in an orderly fashion
- Accurately labelling and dating pulls, products, and equipment
- Responsible for returning equipment and beverage. It will be "turned" for our next event or, returned clean and organized to restock
- Management of equipment and company inventory including proper cleaning and maintenance and storage.
Qualifications
- Experience in a food or hospitality industry preferred
- Knowledge and experience in offsite catering preferred
Requirements
- OLCC and Food Handlers Card
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to drive the company cargo van and large box truck
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Work Location: In person
Salary : $20 - $25
