The Art of Catering kitchen is a professional, dynamic atmosphere: And we are looking to expand our chef team. AOC is hiring a Sous Chef with a great attitude, a strong sense of urgency, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow and learn.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and following direction of the Chef de Cuisine.

- Managing pre-event production in the AOC kitchen to ensure seamless preparation for upcoming events and serve as the lead chef onsite events guiding the chef team for flawless event execution.
- Coordinate with management staff throughout the week and attend Tuesday agenda meetings to discuss and plan for upcoming events.
Qualifications
- 2 years Kitchen experience in a catering or restaurant environment is required.
- Full-time availability. Weekend availability is a must.
- Valid Food Handlers card.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- A Valid Driver’s License is required. Ability to drive the AOC truck and van to and from events is required.
- Kitchen production requires daytime availability. Saturday availability is a requirement.
Compensation
- This is a full time position, 30-40 hours per week. Schedule flexibility is required.
- Hourly wage is $25-30 per hour based on experience. The intention for this position is to move into a salaried position after a few months proving performance.
