Permit Scheduler Job Description:
In this position, the responsible person will communicate with the Sales staff, Technicians, Supervisors, Building Departments, Inspectors, and Customers, to scheduling inspections.
Job Duties:
- Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm in the office.
- Scheduling of inspections with appropriate Building departments and our clients.
- Handle all calls with building departments and customers in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
- Active in all facets of Customer interaction concerning closing out all permits, as well as other various reporting responsibilities as needed.
- Work as a team with the ultimate goal to take care of the customer.
Requirements needed in order to be considered for this position:
- Requires a clear understandable speaking voice.
- Requires a high school diploma.
- 2 - 4 years of previous permitting/customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
- Able to use a computer and other general office equipment.
- Accurately capture and enter data into existing database.
- Experience and utilizing judgment in order to plan and accomplish goals.
- Follow up and follow through with Sales Staff, Technicians, Supervisors and Customers to help maintain good customer relationships.
Ideal candidates will have the following customer service related skills:
- A professional, courteous, and caring telephone manner.
- Patience and endurance to sit behind a desk all day.
- Able to handle the urgency of each task, and work in a high-stress position, while making each person feel they are your most important person of the day.
- Be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills such as, communication, problem solving, and organizational.
- General office duties to include filing, sorting, answering phones, greeting customers, etc.
