- Conducts medical necessity reviews for Long Term Care form submissions.
- Review and analyze medical necessity documentation and assessments according to established criteria and protocols.
- Produce decisions as required based on knowledge of Medicaid requirements and training as a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and support for all requests.
- Participate in Fair Hearings as assigned.
- Review complaints and appeals by providers investigate and evaluate facts and advise disposition.
- Manage incoming phone calls from the provider and customer communities.
- Cross train to other areas and assist as required.
