Job Title : Material Handler
Location : North Reading, MA 01864 (100% Onsite)
Duration : 12 Months contract
Schedule : 10 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM EST.
Pay Range : $23-$24 / hour on W2
Job Description : Responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
- shipping, receiving, warehousing and office deliveries.
- Prepares related documentation and maintains files / records as required.
Shipping activities include :
Checking goods against shipping documents and authorizations; packing goods for shipment according to specifications, equipment characteristics, assign transportation methods, verifying identification and quality of product;
Receiving activities include :
Receipt and unpacking of goods; checking against bills of lading, packing slips, identification, quantity while maintaining records and routing of material to stores or other destinations.
Must enter correct receipt information into operating system to generate a material document.
Warehouse activities include
- Picking product, cycle counting, sorting work orders and put aways using barcode equipment and associated stockroom software applications.
- Understanding of building layout and make internal recording and deliveries of packages / mail. May at times require travel to local Post Office to drop off certified letters for Legal, Tax and HR depts.
Experience and Training :
- 1-2 years of related shipping experience
- Need Fed EX, UPS knowledge
- Completion of High School or equivalent.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
