Job Description :
This position reports to the US obstructive HCM lead and is a key member of the US Medical Affairs HCM team. The primary responsibility is to support the strategic review of promotional materials from a medical lens for the US HCM team. Additional responsibilities will include support of proactive field medical content and congress execution.
Maintains therapeutic area and product knowledge through ongoing assessment of relevant published literature, treatment guidelines, internal resources and data. Contributes strong medical advice for interdisciplinary meetings and related initiatives including promotional review, disease / brand and launch planning, labeling changes, business reviews, etc.
Critically review and provide solutions to complex promotional strategies and tactics to ensure balance of the messages, medical accuracy and appropriateness of the content of the materials / activities in accordance with relevant guidance
Proactively align and build strong relationships with commercial and other advisors / stakeholders on issues or concerns in promotional review
Ability to demonstrate leadership within the medical promotional review community of practice, to help drive best practices aligned with strategic imperatives. Participates in initiatives aimed at process improvements related to core medical promotional review activities
Determine acceptability of data / references used to support promotional claims and provide strong guidance as well as effective negotiation leading to resolution for pieces
Ensures awareness of current trends within the industry and promotes the sharing of best practices across the Medical Promotional Review Teams
Qualifications :
Advanced Medical / Biology degree (MS, PhD, PharmD) preferred
Clinical and / or minimal 3 years of Pharma industry or agency experience preferred
Cardiovascular and Heart Failure / HCM disease landscape knowledge preferred
Highly organized, efficient, and motivated individual with the ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives across matrix teams
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate complex situations and gain alignment with diverse stakeholders
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Skills and Knowledge Desired
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to evaluate scientific data and medical literature
Understanding of the US Healthcare system, the pharmaceutical industry and clinical and health economic practices in the US is required
Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written is required
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate and cooperative in a complex matrix environment is required
