Provide support for PLC and DCS Cabinet and PLC cabinet cleaning of Instrumentation during Miller Unit Outages. Planning, Coordination, execution and Communication with Outage Team. Technical person with extensive experience in electronics, instrumentation, program configuration, distributed / process control systems, plant electrical maintenance.
The Special Projects Engineer position requires 10 to 15 years of related experience and a an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering. A Special Projects Engineer provides technical expertise and support for projects within an organization that fall outside of typical norms. Work includes assisting in project planning, execution, and coordination to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives.
Job responsibilities include assisting in the development of project plans for the initiatives, collaborating with project teams to gather and organize project requirements, providing support in coordinating project activities, ensuring timelines are met, assisting in communication between project stakeholders, contributing to the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, preparing reports on project progress and key milestones, providing technical support in the identification and resolution of project issues, and applying engineering principles to project challenges. Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficiency in advanced project coordination, expertise in project planning, documentation, and technical support, excellent attention to detail and communication skills, proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and / or vendors.
