Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Merchandise Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing products that align with our brand and meet customer needs. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, track market trends, and manage inventory to optimize sales and profitability.
Responsibilities :
Product Selection : Research and analyze market trends to identify potential products for our retail offerings.
Vendor Management : Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Inventory & Order Management : Track stock levels, analyze demand, and coordinate orders to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Quality Control : Ensure that all purchased materials and products meet company quality standards and branding guidelines.
Sales Analysis : Analyze sales data to make informed buying decisions and forecast future trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with marketing, design, and sales teams to align purchasing decisions with business objectives and customer needs.
Data Entry : Timely and accurately entering Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Work Orders; creating and maintaining styles and production sheets.
Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, inventory status, and market trends to senior management.
Budgeting : Develop and manage buying budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field (not required).
3 years of experience in merchandise buyer or similar role in retail.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of global sourcing, logistics, and import / export regulations is a plus.
