Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset to join our organization and be a part of transforming our operations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and experience owning the accounting cycle, close and reporting functions. In addition to the daily accounting, we are looking for someone resourceful with a business-oriented mindset who enjoys being a part of the organization's success.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations to ensure the accuracy of transactions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Supervise staff and review/approve work to ensure adherence to accounting and company standards while providing on-going coaching and development.
• Perform the month-end close including account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
• Prepare the periodic financial statements, review any variances, and provide explanations and recommendations to the CFO.
• Assist the staff with transaction processing including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Act as a business partner to the CFO in analyzing financials and planning for future growth of the organization.
• Support the development and management of the fiscal budgets for the organization and individual departments.
• Lead process improvements within the accounting system to optimize the software, create efficiencies, and improve overall reporting.
• Work with the CFO on storytelling and utilizing various software tools to create valuable insights into the operations and success of programs.
• Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting - required
• CPA preferred
• 8 years of related experience
• Excellent communication and executive presence
• Business mindset and strong financial acumen
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with visualization tools and databases, preferred
