Job Details
Our client, a prestigious hedge fund, is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Technology-Infrastructure group, reporting to the Team Lead of Network Engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data, voice, and cybersecurity, along with experience in managing complex network infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Manage Cisco firewalls, routers, Ethernet, and SAN switches.
- Oversee Palo Alto firewalls, monitor logs, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Administer Cisco Call Manager and related applications, including Webex integration.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, including LAN, VoIP, and circuits.
- Perform equipment installations and upgrades outside of regular business hours.
- Manage additional voice, network, and security systems.
- Collaborate with IT staff and end-users to address and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience implementing and supporting network technologies, especially Cisco and Palo Alto, within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with Telco installations and circuit troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with vendors to resolve issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to independently solve problems and manage time efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine, Multi-Factor Authentication, SAML, Mobile Device Management, and cloud vendors like AWS.
- Understanding of how networks interact with other IT systems.
- Previous experience working at an MSP or in the financial sector.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence Monday through Thursday, with remote work available on Fridays. Occasional work outside regular hours may be required for equipment installations and upgrades.
