Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist
Job Purpose :
Manage all 3rd party dig in damage claims under $5K, 1st party equipment claims and 3rd party pothole or property damage claims.
Essential Job Functions :
- Investigate claims via telephone, written correspondence, and / or personal contact with claimants, attorneys, insureds, witnesses and others having pertinent information
- Make timely claims payments and adjustments; communicate claim action / processing with claimant and client.
- Provide comprehensive, complete thorough analysis of coverage determination.
- Understand third party recovery process and identify and ensure subrogation efforts are undertaken against responsible parties.
- Negotiate claims to settlement and secure general releases for settlement
- Attend offsite meetings as required
