The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities
• Data Entry
• Prepare accounts payables and receivables
• Prepare payments of accounts payable.
• Processes month-end financial closings, which include verifying cash is completely reconciled
• Prepares, enters, edits, and posts general journal entries into financial accounting software.
• Maintains the general ledger for all funds.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Consults with leadership in times of uncertainty
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Other duties as assigned
• Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years' experience in accounting
- Superior mathematical, analytical, and technical skills
- Highly organized, attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is a plus but not required
