Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- A valid New Mexico Public Education Department Teaching License
- A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent communication skills- oral and written
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience
- Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the Board of Education

RESPONSIBILITIES:
FFA Advising
- Serve as the 3rd FFA Advisor, assist in leading the chapter in all aspects of FFA activities, including planning meetings, coordinating events, and managing chapter resources.
- Provide guidance to students in developing their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), supporting their growth in leadership, responsibility, and career skills.
- Assist in the preparation and coaching of students for Junior High FFA contests and other competitions.
- Encourage and mentor students in leadership development, public speaking, and career exploration within the agricultural field.
- Supervise students at local, regional, and state FFA events, ensuring their safety, participation, and growth in these activities.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal & Head FFA Advisor
WORK SCHEDULE: As needed during the 2025-2026 teacher contract year
SALARY: $1,772 plus pay for (10) additional days at the individual's daily rate
