Responsibilities

- Provide direct patient care, including catheter care, pain management, and suture application as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize treatment plans for patients in various settings such as nursing homes, ambulatory surgery centers, and emergency rooms.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly while maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures within the facility.
- Mentor and train new nursing staff on clinical procedures, systems, and best practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient assessments.
- Proficient in catheter care techniques and pain management strategies.
- Experience working in nursing homes or senior care environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency room protocols or ambulatory surgery center operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform sonography tasks as part of comprehensive patient evaluations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration among healthcare teams and provide clear instructions to patients and families.
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire nursing staff while managing daily operations effectively.
