Merchandising - Planning & Inventory Assistant
Artful Home is looking for a team player, who appreciates what we do, to join our Merchandising - Planning & Inventory team. The position can be based in North Brandford, CT, Madison, WI, or fully remote. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to in-season forecasting, pre-season inventory buying, and inventory stock management. This position analyzes data trends and inventory flow to maximize sales potential and minimize risks.
Primary responsibilities include :
- Collaborating with Merchandising on seasonal hindsight reports to provide actionable insights for future performance improvement
- Partnering with the Planning Manager to review historical performance and recommend future actions.
- Generating and analyzing key performance indicator reports and providing analysis of sales and inventory data to identify risks and opportunities
- Working with the Planning Manager to develop and execute markdown strategies to maximize gross margin and align with financial and inventory objectives
- Partnering with the Planning Manager to build and manage ladder plans for replenishment styles
- Overseeing sales and stock replenishment needs, ensuring alignment with inventory objectives
- Ensuring inventory levels meet demand and financial objectives related to fulfillment, turnover, and profitability
- Issuing inbound purchase orders and communicating with vendors to ensure timely delivery
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to monitor product flow, meeting sales and inventory objectives while minimizing out-of-stock and backorder situations. Communicating significant shifts to the team.
