Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. The Engineering Support Services (ESS) team in Ave Maria, Florida (AMIE) is responsible for supporting the CNC machined component manufacturing processes at AMIE. We are searching for a co-op pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree to support the component manufacturing ESS team at AMIE. The successful candidate will prepare, execute, and document CNC process validations with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual will perform various inspection methods (Micro-Vu, comparator, attribute gages, micrometer, caliper) and will be detail-oriented in the execution and documentation of these inspection methods. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.
This co-op will run from July 2025 – December 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Ave Maria, FL facility.
Main Objective :
Co-op will be involved in medical device manufacturing process design / implementation / validation as well as process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Run statistical analysis on Minitab.
- Design and implement various projects, such as tool mapping, via Solidworks.
- Assist in the drafting and implementation of standard work instructions.
- Conduct engineering validations.
- Perform destructive testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern / co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements / Specialized Courses and / or Training :
Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing and possess the ability to work through technical issues.
Machine, Tools, and / or Equipment Skills :
