The Facilities / EH&S Specialist will assist in the planning and execution of maintenance and general repairs of commercial buildings. Performing Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety functions, maintaining a safe and effective work environment for all Arthrex employees. Partnering with the Corporate EH&S Team carrying out Safety Training and ongoing Safety Initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide hands-on supervision and guidance to the maintenance and custodial personnel.
- Perform frequent evaluations of the Arthrex site to ensure the highest level of care and appearance.
- Manage the contractor and vendor relationships and documentation.
- Foster a work environment that emphasizes the implementation of quality and safety practices.
- Coordinates facility changes with contractors, building trades and regulatory agencies.
- Present training programs to personnel related to accident prevention and workplace safety.
- Maintain statistical data and prepare reports regarding occupational injuries and accidents.
- Participate in new hire orientations and perform inspections of Fire and Emergency systems.
- Recognize and correct safety hazards in the workplace.
- Must have flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work.
- Involvement in the creation and maintenance of company safety teams.
- Develop equipment and job specific hazard analysis.
- Assist in maintaining Hazardous Material storage / disposal and regulatory compliance.
- Support all areas of the Arthrex Environmental, Health and Safety Program.
- Perform workplace inspections and training to maintain compliance with applicable OSHA and EPA Regulations and established procedures.
- Perform & Document equipment maintenance (PM’s) as required by the Quality Management System
