Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, internal medicine, and administrative support within a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories.
• Manage patient records and ensure accurate entry of information into electronic health systems.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and handling correspondence.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist in the coordination of care for patients in various settings including inpatient units and outpatient clinics.
• Support diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and lab tests while adhering to safety protocols.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care as directed by healthcare providers.

Experience

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in the medical field
• Must be proficient in communication, and should have great interpersonal skills,
• Must have excellent typing speed,
• Must have exposure to electronic medical record
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Great ability to interact with the patient and communicate clearly

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
