Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Provide direct support to clients in their homes or within a nursing home environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, nursing home settings, or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory.
