Benefits Financial Manager

Arthur Lawrence is looking for Benefits Financial Manager. As a Benefits Financial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial accounting, funding and disbursements employee benefit plans. Ensures that the financial and accounting policies and procedures follow US GAAP, DOL and IRS rules and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct financial accounting and compliance for employee health, welfare, pension, and 401(k) plans, establishing policies for reconciliation with Trusts, payroll, and general ledger accounts, while overseeing funding and disbursements per regulatory and contract standards.
• Manage Trustee relationships, G/L entries, and vendor reporting, ensuring accurate, timely data for financials, actuarial analyses, and consulting projects, while assessing cash requirements and directing allocations for pension Trusts.
• Lead benefit plan design, implementation, and modifications, collaborating with internal teams, insurance carriers, and consultants to ensure alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee annual audits for Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Health & Welfare plans, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate data submissions and report reviews.

Must-Have:

• 8 years in benefits accounting or benefit plan auditing (defined benefit, defined contribution, and health and welfare plans)
• Supervisory experience and strong understanding of US GAAP for benefits accounting
• Experience with actuaries, actuarial reports, and regulatory requirements for employee benefit plans
• Advanced Excel skills
