Garde Manger Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Garde Manger to join our dynamic culinary team. The Garde Manger will be responsible for preparing salads, appetizers, charcuteries, and other cold dishes. The ideal candidate must have exceptional knife skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating culinary works of art.
Responsibilities:
- Create cold dishes such as salads, cured meats, cheeses, pates, and terrines
- Ensure that all items are prepared with the highest quality standards
- Adhere to recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency
- Consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Culinary school degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Garde Manger
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
- Experience working in a scratch kitchen environment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment and understand basic kitchen math
