Description
Primary Purpose: The Project Manager II will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of new product commercialization projects, from concept to launch, with a strong focus on R&D based projects. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of R&D/operations, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches – on time and within scope/budget. This is a hybrid position to Elgin, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage commercialization projects (heavy focus on R&D based projects), ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage multiple large product launch projects at once, each with multiple SKUs.
- Develop and maintain detailed project scope, including project plans (timelines), milestones, item/BOM development and resource allocation.
- Coordinate/lead with R&D, operations, engineering, QA, technical regulatory, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of the commercialization process.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve commercialization processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
Education, Qualities and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP certification is a plus, but not required
- 6 years of project management experience, preferably in product commercialization, leading a cross functional team of ten or more
- Strong understanding of product development and operational processes
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (MS Project/Smartsheet).
- Ability to lead and work autonomously/effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead individuals inside and outside the organization and globally (senior management to plant personnel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibility:
No direct supervision required.
Work Environment:
Typical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks. Typically climate-controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year-round. Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient lamination.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours. This is a hybrid position in Elgin, IL.

Compensation and Benefits:
The budgeted salary range for this position is $110,000-$128,930, with a 10% annual bonus potential.
