We are hiring a QA Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct internal audits and inspections
- Ensure that quality procedures (line checks, inspections, paperwork, etc.) are completed properly and on time
- Manage QA/lab functions and staff to include work direction and guidance, career growth and development, performance management, scheduling, ensuring safe work practices, etc.
- Audit GMP and food safety compliance and address/resolve deviations
- Serve as back up lead person on audits (ex: SQF, USDA, FDA, Kosher, customer inspections, Organic, etc.).
- Ensure managers and supervisors understand regulations, audit process and compliance requirements as it relates to their assigned areas.
- Serve as the back-up facility representative throughout the audit process and associated follow up.
- Resolve issues identified within audits.
- Assist the manager in development, implementation and maintaining of programs related to providing safe and high-quality foods (ex: SQF programs. food safety plans, environmental monitoring, hold & release etc.)
- Serve as back up SQF practitioner

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of of lab and/or quality experience within the food or dairy manufacturing industry
- Supervisory experience
- HACCP, PCQI Trained & SQF Practitioner Certified (may obtain this training and certification within first year of receiving position)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence change
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Excellent follow up and follow through, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
