Grading Crew Member

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Grading Crew Member to join our team. This is a physically demanding role that requires hands-on work in site preparation, finish grading, and erosion control for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in grading and be comfortable performing labor-intensive tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.Responsibilities:

• Perform finish grading – including extensive raking, spreading straw, shoveling, and hydroseeding to ensure a smooth and properly graded surface.
• Physically demanding tasks such as shoveling dirt, leveling ground, and installing erosion control measures.
• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, dozers, and excavators when needed.
• Prepare sites for construction, ensuring surfaces are properly leveled and compacted for drainage.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and ensuring safe working conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance and inspections to keep machinery in top condition.

Qualifications:

• Ability to handle physically demanding work, including heavy lifting, raking, shoveling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience in grading, site preparation, or landscaping preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take direction.
• Knowledge of grading techniques, drainage principles, and erosion control methods is a plus.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well in a team and complete tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
