Heavy Equipment Operator/Lead Man

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and possess a strong mechanical knowledge. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our projects, ensuring that all equipment is utilized safely and effectively to meet project deadlines.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including dozer, skid steer, dump trucks, excavator, etc. to support construction and grading activities.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assist in the grading processes by efficiently maneuvering equipment as required.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation with hands-on experience in skid steer, excavator, dump truck, dozer, etc.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
• Ability to operate a water truck effectively for site preparation and dust control.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• A valid driving license is required.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety practices on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
