Article Student Living is excited to invite you to our 2025 internship program! We are looking for a Property Management Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of property management. This internship will provide valuable exposure to important functions such as leasing, resident relations, financial analysis, maintenance coordination, and operational efficiency. You will work with our teams to ensure properties are well-equipped with resources and help in the execution of current and new procedures.
This 10-week internship program will run from June 2nd to August 8th, 2025.
There will be events planned throughout the program, such as lunch and learns, systems training, and an end-of-the-internship project presentation. There's a lot to learn and fun to be had. We can't wait to begin.
You will report to the Regional VP & Senior VP of Operations.
You will work on-site at our Chicago, IL office 4-5 days a week.
You may travel occasionally.
Compensation is $18.00 per hour.
Your Mission:
Support the daily operations of property management
Monitor occupancy rates, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate maintenance requests, vendor communications, and work order tracking to ensure proactive outcomes
Conduct market research analysis of rental pricing, occupancy trends, and amenity offerings
Help prepare financial and operational reports, including budget tracking and expense analysis
Participate in property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations
Provide administrative support, including data entry, document preparation, and customer service interactions
Your Track Record:
Pursuing a degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Prior experience in real estate, leasing, or property management
Your Style
