Field Service Technician

Artilus, Inc is looking for a Field Service Technician. The position requires you to travel to client’s sites to perform work at their locations.

Structured Cabling

Perform Cable installation including Data, Voice, Fiber, and Paging

Fishing and routing of wires through frames and building structures

Termination, Labeling, testing and dressing of cabling

Installation of data equipment including racks, patch panels, cable trays, and J-Hooks

Rack and stack of network devices as required in network closets

Ability to perform repairs by troubleshooting existing cabling system issues

IP Surveillance

Perform Cable installation for IP Cameras – internal and external installations

Physical installation of various CCTV camera types

Install and Program DVR Recording Units

Configure Analytics such as Face Detection and Recognition, People Tracking, Motion Detection, LPR, Intrusion and Perimeter Protection

Access Control

Perform installation of Access Control Cabling

Installation and final wiring of Access Control Boards, Readers, and REX Devices

Ability to configure Users, Groups, Schedules, Doors, and Credentials via Access Control Software

Experience with installation of Wireless and Electronic Locks a plus

Additional Skillsets

Project Management

Strong communication with the team in regard to schedule, work progress, unexpected challenges at work sites, etc.

Ability to read Blueprints and Cable Schematics

Networking knowledge of Routers and Switches

Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security systems, CCTV, and computer networking.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout and installation of low voltage systems.

Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.

Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure proper installation and integration of low voltage systems.

Provide field service support for customers, including system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance.

Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working with low voltage systems.

Keep accurate records of work performed, including documentation of system configurations and changes.

Experience:

- Previous experience working as a Low Voltage Technician or in a related field is preferred.

- Knowledge of low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, and computer networking.

- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems.

- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues with low voltage systems.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide customer support.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
