General Summary
The Payroll and Human Resources Generalist performs complex duties following established procedures in the following areas: payroll, recruitment, records maintenance, budget, and employee onboarding and training. Involves frequent interaction with all Artis—Naples team members to assist with payroll, training, problem solving and questions. The preferred candidate will have a working knowledge of payroll and financial practices as well as human resources policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
• Payroll and Benefits Administration:
o Performs payroll accounting and administrative duties to support the Payroll and Benefits Manager as well as the Human Resources Director.
o Works in conjunction with the Payroll and Benefits Manager to process payroll, but can independently perform all the necessary payroll functions and processes.
o Ensures payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting and payroll deductions.
o Assists with benefits administration, including employee enrollments, changes, and terminations.
o Reconciles payroll accounts and works closely with finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Human Resources & Employee Relations:
o Assists the Human Resources Director with creating and maintaining the department budget.
o Serves as one of the main points of contact for the designated Human Resource Management (HRM) software for items related to HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions
o Coordinates and prepares job descriptions; ensures consistency and compliance in accordance with ADA and company standards, revises as necessary.
o Works with the Human Resources Director and the applicable department managers to develop employee onboarding and training plans.
o Maintains accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
o Provides input in the planning and development of policies and procedures, including review and distribution with the Human Resources Director.
o Assists in the development and implementation of HR programs such as employee recognition, performance management, and professional development.
o Monitors compliance with Annual Review Process.
• Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
o Coordinate recruitment efforts for Artis—Naples; including writing and placing job ads.
o Review employee resumes, prescreen candidates, and assist with employee onboarding.

o Provides information and instruction to external and internal applicants relating to the application process, open position(s) and any other employment related activities.
o Collaborates with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly defined and met.
o Manages the background check and pre-employment screening process.
• Training & Compliance:
o Assists in developing and delivering employee training programs, including compliance training, onboarding, and professional development.
o Attends meetings, assists in the coordination, planning, and execution of activities (e.g., CPR training), and participates in special projects as assigned.
o Ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws, organizational policies, and industry best practices.
o Tracks and reports key HR metrics, such as turnover rates and training completion.
• Employee Support & Engagement:
o Provides customer service, assistance and feedback to employees’ questions and/or concerns, while maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
o Takes appropriate steps to ensure problems are resolved and handled through appropriate channels, gets back to appropriate person(s) timely with resolution.
o Supports employee engagement initiatives and assists with planning company events and recognition programs.
o Observe safety requirements. Report safety issues and items requiring work orders to Supervisor or Safety & Security.
o Work effectively with all Artis—Naples team members.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Human Resources SPHR or PHR preferred.
• Proficient computer skills with Windows and MS Office
