What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Nursing RN position at Artis Senior Living Management, LLC?
- This is a remote position that requires onsite travel 3-4 days per week
- Portfolio includes 8 communities across Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.
The Regional Director of Nursing (RN) provides leadership and oversight to assigned communities in areas of resident care, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, risk reduction, clinical and staff management, as well as state licensure survey readiness. The Regional Director of Nursing will travel to communities in the assigned portfolio in New York and New Jersey on a weekly basis to provide support with ongoing recruiting and team member development efforts.
- Schedules weekly site visits to provide supervision, clinical expertise, ensure communication, and to monitor the overall operation of the resident care department. Conducts facility reviews based on operational needs, changes in management and commitment to regulatory compliance.
- Communicates and trains staff on Artis protocols and participates in policy and procedural development.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all rules and regulations pertaining to resident care in each assigned state and responsible for keeping informed of industry and health care trends and standards, applying new knowledge to meet the changing needs of residents.
- Review and follow-up on community incident reports that are health or injury related and develop/monitor plans of correction in accordance with Artis policies and procedures.
- Monitors the implementation of current policies and procedures, which reflect adherence to corporate and external regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in State and Federal surveys and compliant investigations. Supports and follows up with communities in identifying trends and assists in the development of corrective action plans.
- Gather performance improvements indicators and survey data to identify trends. Develops Plans of Corrective Actions with the Regional VP of Operations, Executive Directors and VP of Memory Care.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of training programs for team members in the assisted living environment meeting state and federal requirements as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assists community management with resident care issues, hiring of nursing personnel, personnel training and challenges.
Requirements:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois, Ohio and/or Florida.
- 3 years experience in Memory Care, Assisted Living or Long Term Care.
