Job Description: Logistics Coordinator
The Logistics Coordinator will plan and coordinate the movement of goods daily/weekly, schedule deliveries and pickups, and communicate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery/receipt of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and supply chain management, as well as proficiency in relevant technical tools and software.
The Logistics Coordinator will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the best possible outcome for customer deliveries. This includes identifying and organizing daily/weekly sales orders and coordinating pickup/delivery dates with carriers based upon sailing schedule.
- Identify and organize daily/weekly sales orders
- Coordinate pickup/delivery dates with carriers based upon sailing schedule
- Schedule trucks for the pickup and delivery of raw materials and ingredients to meet production and supply timelines
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to align delivery schedules with purchase orders and vendor availability
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in logistics and supply chain management (2 years)
- Proficiency in logistic software and technologies (2 years)
- Ability to analyze complex situations, interpret data, and identify key insights to inform decision-making
- Consistently demonstrating dedication, responsibility, and diligence in every task, ensuring quality results
- Understanding the financial implications of decisions and actions, ensuring cost-effective practices and budgeting
