With ARTISAN the Porter/Make Ready Technician is responsible to ensure that all vacated apartments are safely and thoroughly restored to Ready status according to the Community Manager's timetable. You will be responsible for completing grounds maintenance, cleaning apartment buildings, offices and common areas. The Porter/Make Ready Technician will also be required to perform work orders, as assigned. Responsible for maintaining the community appearance at or above quality standards at all times.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Working under direction of Maintenance Lead(s) and Community manager(s) complete service requests assigned for vacant units (make ready) and general service requests assigned by supervisors for repairs and preventative maintenance items.
- Completes grounds maintenance by removing all trash from community on daily basis.
- Clean apartment buildings, office and common area amenities as scheduled by the Community Manager.
- Adheres to the highest level of customer service and quality standards.
- Throughout the day, looks for additional maintenance needing performed and liability hazards to report them to the Manager.
- Maintain property owned equipment and tools and ensure they are properly secured after each use.
- Ensure all work areas are secured per policy when they are not occupied.
- Understand and follow written policy.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION
The Make Ready Technician will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing / pulling, lifting / moving / carrying light and heavy loads, climbing stairs and ladders. The Make Ready Technician should have a working knowledge of OSHA and follow any guidelines set forth to protect the health of the maintenance team, the community, residents, and oneself.
