This is a tipped position.
The Banquet Server exemplifies high dining standards of presentation, set up, and service. The Banquet Server interacts in a friendly and efficient manner with all guests while serving food and beverages. You will be responsible for greeting, assisting, and serving guests at special functions and events. The banquet server will assist with preparation, clean up, serving guests, and respond to guest questions, complaints, and requests. The banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverage to guests at all banquet functions, according to Events by Artisan standards. To be a successful banquet server, you should possess excellent customer service and communication skills. You should be professional, polite, and an efficient server.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greeting guests as they enter the venue and helping them find their seats.
- Read, interpret and follow with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and follow instruction for service from Banquet Captain and/or Manager
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
- Prepare table settings, beverage stations, and food stations, etc. for the function as dictated on the BEO.
- Attend pre-event meetings to be informed of schedules, serving duties, and menu
- Communicate with Banquet Captain and/or Manager throughout the function to notify them of changes, special requests, or dietary restrictions to ensure guest satisfaction
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with all function guest to ensure exceptional dining experience
- Participate in the clean up after all functions including; floors, dishes, equipment and supplies have been properly cleaned and stored as appropriate
- Supporting other team members to ensure an over all guest satisfaction event
- Maintain banquet office and storage spaces in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
