Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our communications efforts, enhancing our public image, and engaging with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing skills, along with a passion for effective communication across multiple platforms.
Duties
- Assist in creating and editing content for press releases, newsletters, and social media.
- Support the planning and execution of communication campaigns and events.
- Maintain and update the media contacts database.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on communications metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop communication strategies.
- Respond to inquiries from the public and media in a timely manner.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with content management systems and basic graphic design software is a plus.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
