Hours: Wednesday – Sunday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Summary
We are looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tasting Room Associate. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional hospitality to all guests, ensuring their experience is welcoming, positive, and memorable. Responsibilities include assisting with tasting room operations, stocking, cleaning, handling retail and wine club transactions, shipping fulfillment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Moving into a full-time tasting room associate position is possible if you exhibit the necessary skills and desire.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Warmly greet all guests, verify reservations, and guide them to their table.
Provide a welcoming introduction to the Artist Block experience.
Host guests when our team is at capacity.
Support the team by assisting with seating, bussing tables, running food, cleaning, and stocking supplies.
Pack and ship online orders and club shipments 1–2 days a week.
Process weekly wine consumption with wax and edition numbers.
Prepare monthyly and weekly charcuterie.
Maintain our cat Andy’s water, food, and litter.
Perform daily opening duties, including cleaning and organizing the tasting room, setting up stations, and ensuring restrooms are stocked and presentable.
Handle retail sales and wine club pickups using Commerce7 and Tock.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, bathrooms, and other guest areas.
Anticipate and meet guest needs, maintaining a professional and upbeat attitude in all interactions.
Assist with winery events and special activities, providing guidance and support to guests as needed.
Promote wine club memberships and explain benefits to potential members.
Collaborate with managers and teammates to ensure smooth operations and address guest concerns calmly and effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting the winery cat, Andy.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; prior tasting room, hospitality, or wine sales experience is preferred.
Valid OLCC license and Oregon Food Handler’s card required.
Friendly, extroverted personality with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work in a high-paced environment.
Open availability, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 40 lbs.
