Looking for someone reliable and super FUN! Artistic Dance Academy goes into recreational parks and community preschools to teach dance. Our studio teaches ballet,Tap, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop/Jazz infused classes! We are currently looking for a preschool community leader and tap & ballet instructor to teach young children (ages 3-9) in a fun, structured, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will foster a love for dance while maintaining an engaging, safe and well organized class. Responsibilities include introduction basic dance techniques, encouraging creativity, and ensuring every child feels supported and confident. The instructor should have a genuine passion for working with young children and commitment to making dance a fun and enriching experience. Come join us!
Essential Functions:
- Arrive to work 15 minutes prior to class.
- Make sure to have music and agenda ready for each class.
- Maintain a balance of fun and structure to keep children engaged and focused.
- Foster positive relationships with children, creating a warm and encouraging environment.
- Strong choreography skills to teach for annual recitals and/or special presentations and be able to attend.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during class.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Responsible and organize.
- Must Love working with young children
- Must have at least 5 years of experience dancing
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
- Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and self-disciplined.
- Must have own transportation.
Experience:
- Dance: 5 years (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Working days:
- Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings
Hours per week:
- Less than 10
Typical end time:
- 7:30pm-8pm
