Fine Gardener/ Horticulturist
Artistic Grounds, Inc. is searching for an experienced Fine Gardener with a passion for horticulture to become a key contributor to our growing team! Here at Artistic Grounds we are a full service landscape company and offer comprehensive custom landscape packages to a variety of clients. Our many long-term clients value our expertise, prompt communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Seasonal color installation and maintenance
Bed maintenance including weeding and pruning
Spring preparations and fall cutbacks
Rose care, composting, fertilization and deadheading
Procurement of annuals, perennials, and shrubs
Planter & bed design, vision and installations
Fertilization, insect, and disease management for ornamentals, annuals and perennials
Willingness to work with the homeowners of properties for overall quality of projects
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years fine gardening experience and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and Medical Exam Certificate (DOT)
Ability to lead a team and work independently
Hand pruning and shrub trimming as appropriate
Working knowledge of horticultural best practices and plant management
Understanding of landscape/gardening design and color choices
Positive attitude
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Industry certifications desired but not required
