Project Manager:

Artistree Home has an immediate opening for a Project Manager to lead our growing team of regenerative builders, creating awe-inspiring treehouses and tiny homes.

The ideal candidate for this integral role has 5 years of custom construction project management experience and 5-10 years of general experience in construction, is able to plan, manage and prioritize multiple detail-rich tasks and has clear and effective communication skills. The Project Manager is responsible for managing client interface, contracts, project leads, vendors and contractors, as well as supporting personnel of each build team (including both internal and client projects). The Project Manager will also interface as needed with Artistree shared services including HR, Finance, Accounting and Marketing. This role reports directly to and works closely with the President and founder of Artistree Home, and in conjunction with the Executive Management Team of Artistree Hospitality Group, PBC, our parent company.

Requirements:

  • 5 years project management, 10 years general construction experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while planning ahead
  • Detail-oriented
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Equally comfortable swinging a hammer, managing e-mail, scheduling and basic spreadsheet maintenance

About the Current Project:

Artistree is engaged as General Contractor for a project in the Fredericksburg, TX: area. This position will require presence on site at least 2-3 days each week. On-site accommodation available; milage reimbursement for nearby commuting also an option.

The Project Manager should be able to bounce between the three following areas with ease:

Client Management:

  • Establish strong and collaborative relationships with clients as a primary point of contact.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand client requirements, address concerns, and provide project updates.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
  • Proactively manage client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage client change requests, evaluating their feasibility, cost implications, and impact on project timelines. Communicate change requests to the appropriate stakeholders, coordinating their implementation and documentation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed for all changes.
  • Facilitate client feedback and incorporate it into project plans and decision-making processes.
  • Qualify prospective projects once clients have passed the initial screening.
  • Lead Zoom call information meetings with clients.
  • Conduct site visits before submitting client proposals.
  • Collaborate with the design team during and/or after site visits on design and client proposals.
  • Meet with clients on-site to discuss projects, do initial budgeting, and build client relationships.
  • Compose client contracts, proposals, etc. utilizing the client’s templates.
  • Setting client expectations and managing relationships throughout the course of construction.
Construction Management:
  • Provide overall coordination and oversight of construction activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to specifications, codes, and regulations.
  • Manage and resolve any construction-related issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential risks, and monitor safety compliance.
  • Manage and oversee the clients’s construction projects, budget, timeline, client relations, and crew.
  • Provide leadership and act as a sounding board for the build team’s foreman.
  • Material sourcing and procurement.
  • Sub-contractor and vendor management.
  • Coordination with the design team for design intent and shop drawings.
  • Visiting job sites to do formal walkthroughs with foreman and clients.

Budgeting & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements. Monitor project expenditures and track financial performance against the budget.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to clients, highlighting budgetary implications or deviations.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop cost-saving strategies and optimize resource allocation. Maintain accurate records of project-related documentation, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Generate regular progress reports, documenting project milestones, achievements, and challenges using the client’s systems.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements established by regulatory bodies and the client.
  • Create client budgets and estimates.
  • Work with vendors, and foreman to create accurate estimates and contracts.
  • Reporting on budget to actuals for projects (with support from the Finance Department).
  • Vendor tracking contract bid to actuals and progress.
  • Understand Spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel) and desired profit margins from each project.

Opportunity to grow into a Regional Project Manager level position overseeing all aspects of Artistree Home construction endeavors.
