CAD Operator / Field Manager

JOB SUMMARY
Artistry Woodcraft is seeking a talented and versatile CAD Operator / Field Manager to join our creative team. In this unique role, you will be an integral part of turning kitchen dreams into reality while taking charge of on-site field measurements, coordinating with contractors, performing take-offs, and managing material and cabinet orders. If you have experience in kitchen design, an eye for aesthetics, technical precision, and a knack for overseeing field operations, we would love to have you on board!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with our kitchen designers, architects, and contractors to translate client requirements and concepts into precise 2D and 3D kitchen models using CAD software.
- Responsible for on-site field measurements, ensuring accuracy and seamless integration of designs with existing conditions. Must have a valid Driver’s license, clean background and own transportation
- Coordinate with contractors to schedule project installations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Perform take-offs and accurately calculate the required materials and cabinetry for each project, preparing orders using our manufacturers web based ordering system.
- Create detailed technical drawings and layouts for kitchen cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, and other elements, adhering to design standards and specifications.
- Ensure proper coordination between the design team, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on designs and installations to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the design-to-installation process effectively.
Requirements:
- Experience in kitchen design and using CAD software (AutoCAD 5 years minimum, SketchUp a plus) to create 2D and 3D kitchen models.
- A keen eye for kitchen aesthetics, functionality, and ergonomics.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen layout principles, including space planning, cabinetry, and appliance placement.
- Ability to travel to job sites for field measurements, site inspections, and contractor coordination.
- Experience in performing take-offs and accurately calculating material and cabinet orders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage on-site operations and coordinate with team members.
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in a kitchen design studio or related industry is highly advantageous.
- Relevant certification or training in interior design, kitchen design, or related fields is a plus
Professional credential can increase chances of advancement.
CAD drafters require an associate's degree in a related field, though a bachelor's degree may be preferred.

Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

full time ($30.00 per hour, depending on level of expertise)
