Youth Empowerment Manager, Pathways to College or Careers Program

This vital role will center on addressing systemic challenges and providing direct, trauma-informed support to youth from marginalized communities. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead the implementation of the Pathways to College or Careers program, ensuring all activities align with trauma-informed best practices.
- Build trusting relationships with youth participants to understand their individual needs, challenges, and goals.
- Provide direct supervision and support to Pathways program staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver quality, participant-centered services.
- Coordinate one-on-one coaching and case management for participants to address personal, educational, and employment barriers.
- Design and facilitate skill-building workshops focused on leadership, life skills, and career readiness, tailored to the unique needs of at-risk youth.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations to connect participants with additional resources, such as mental health services, educational & employment opportunities, and job training.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, adjusting strategies to ensure participants meet program goals and receive effective support.
- Lead the creation of a welcoming and inclusive program environment where participants feel supported and valued.
- Prepare detailed records and program reports, providing updates to leadership and stakeholders on program progress and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Youth Development, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing or coordinating programs that serve youth, particularly those from at-risk or marginalized communities.
- Proven experience working in trauma-informed care environments and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by at-risk youth.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide both staff and participants.
- Knowledge of case management practices and experience addressing social, emotional, or systemic employment barriers.
- Comfortable facilitating engaging and interactive workshops or training sessions.
- Familiarity with community resources and support networks, including education, job training, and workforce development.
- Proven ability to support and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating strong cultural competency.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in English and an additional commonly spoken language.
- Certification or training in youth mentoring, workforce development, or trauma-informed care.
