Patient Care and Documentation :
Collect and accurately document patient information in medical charts.Ensure patient records, medication, and immunization data are current.Recognize and act promptly on signs or symptoms requiring intervention.Clinical Support :
Prepare and assist patients with procedures, treatments, and minor surgeries.Perform specimen collection and Point of Care Testing (POCT).Administer immunizations and injections as prescribed by providers.Set up and manage equipment for exams and minor procedures.Team Collaboration and Workflow Management :
Facilitate clinic flow and assist in cross-coverage within the department.Provide timely reporting on patient conditions or safety concerns.Emergency Response and Protocol Compliance :
Perform basic life support (BLS) when certified.Follow protocols for patient safety, including the care of children, elderly, or impaired individuals.Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties :
Attend and apply learnings from staff meetings.Assist clinic nurses and providers as needed.Participate in clinic goal-setting and adhere to organizational guidelines.Qualifications : Education :
High school diploma or GED (required).Certifications (One of the following required) :
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)EMT III (Current Alaska Certification)Paramedic Certification (Current Alaska Certification)Nursing Degree from an accredited institutionAdditional Certifications :
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).Experience :
Previous healthcare setting experience preferred.Skills and Competencies :
Proficient in medical terminology and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to operate medical equipment (e.g., BP cuff, pulse oximeter, EKG machine).Competency in life-saving procedures and emergency response.Work Schedule :
