IT Audit Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Audit Consultant with strong experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in capital markets, trading platforms, and FinTech environments. This is a client-facing consulting role, requiring the ability to perform a wide range of IT audits across complex systems. Candidates should be based in or able to commute to New York City 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate brings a total of 6 12 years of experience, including at least 3 years with a Big 4 firm in IT Audit, Risk Assurance, or Cyber Risk. A strong understanding of technology controls, IT governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations is essential.

Pay-rate: $70 to $80/hr

• Execute end-to-end IT audits across various financial services platforms, including trading systems and capital markets environments.

• Evaluate IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, and infrastructure security for compliance and effectiveness.

• Support risk assessments, audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, including technology leads and business units, to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

• Assist in SOC 1/SOC 2, cybersecurity reviews, regulatory compliance reviews (e.g., SOX, FFIEC), and IT governance assessments.

• Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff as needed.

• 6 12 years of total professional experience, with at least 3 years at a Big 4 (or equivalent top-tier firm).

• Strong background in IT audit, controls testing, or cybersecurity within the financial services sector (fintech and trading exposure strongly preferred).

• Experience working in or auditing capital markets environments.

• Familiarity with audit tools and frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, and FFIEC.

• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a consulting mindset.

• CPA, CISA, CISSP, or similar certifications are a plus.

• Hybrid model: In-person work required 3 days per week in a Midtown Manhattan office.

• Flexible remote work for the remaining days.
