Overview
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician in a milk production facility, where you'll be essential to maintaining smooth operations. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all machinery complies with safety and quality standards. Collaborating with the production team, you'll prioritize and address maintenance tasks, minimizing disruptions. Accurate record-keeping, proactive problem-solving, and working with vendors for parts and services are integral parts of this role, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of the facility.
Job Details
Duration : 30-day initial term with potential full-time conversion. Upon conversion, union membership will be required.
Shifts Available :
2nd Shift : Monday to Friday, 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM MST (with OT as required).
3rd Shift : Monday to Friday, 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM MST (with OT as required).
Interview Process : Onsite interview with hiring manager.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes.
Repair or replace defective parts using tools and inspection techniques.
Use diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications for maintenance tasks.
Fabricate parts using machine shop tools as needed.
Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies.
Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, ensuring a clean work environment.
Document maintenance activities and equipment performance accurately.
Support production by minimizing downtime through timely maintenance.
Qualifications
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs frequently.
Knowledge of ammonia systems and boilers is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting tasks.
Strong math skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
Basic understanding of PLCs, welding, machining, and fabrication.
Competence with shop and power tools.
Familiarity with preventative maintenance and production machinery adjustments.
Experience with forklifts or powered equipment preferred but not mandatory.
Prior maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing environments is a strong advantage.
