Job Title : Medical Assistant

Summary :
This position involves assisting healthcare providers with clinical procedures and offering clerical support as needed. The role serves as a primary point of contact between patients and the practice while also coordinating with external support services.
Shift :
Monday to Friday 4 days per week 10hour shifts
Total : 40 hours per week
Responsibilities :
Support physicians with clinical procedures and provide clerical assistance as assigned.
Act as a liaison between the practice patients and external support services.
Coordinate schedules with medical staff and manage appointment bookings.
Register patients verify insurance and ensure referrals are in place.
Prepare medical records per protocol including lab results allergies and correspondence.
Assist patients during examinations including helping elderly patients with gowning and seating.
Perform CLIAwaived tests such as phlebotomy Electrocardiograms glucometer tests and spirometry.
Maintain treatment rooms clinical equipment and inventory ordering supplies as needed.
Record vital signs including blood pressure height weight pulse respiration vision screening and temperature.
Administer vaccinations as necessary.
Work on a flexible schedule including one shorter day per week as determined by management.
